Hollovar

Mr Lajos TAKACS, the legendary Somlo winemaker moved to Tokaj in 2014. His last Somlo vintage, a 2013 harslevelü is the only Somlo wine remaining from him,  that is still available with us,  while stock lasts. Lajos’ first Tokaj wine débuted in July 2022,  keeping the old brand name HOLLOVAR. “Hollovar” means Raven’s castle and it refers to his old Somlo vineyard’s locations, a nice tribute to his previous legacy.  The total production amount of 2020 Hollovar Tokaj furmint, made from the second yield of his brand new Tokaj plantation, was 600 bottles. We are honoured to be the first outlet to offer it to the public.
