Monterosola

Monterosola is probably one of the youngest wineries in Tuscany, its 25 hectares of vineyards are located just outside Volterra, a near 3000 year-old etruscan town. The way the winery combines the millenia-old winemaking traditions of the Italian peninsula with the top-of-the range 21st century organic winemaking technologies is absolutely exemplary. The old cellar was purchased in 2013 by the Swedish Thomaeus family. Next to it, the newly built guest-area with the new cellar-complex is a truly awe-inspiring sight.  The wines are, each on its own right,  genuine masterpieces of  high-end, seamlessly professional Tuscan winemaking.
