Description
Harvested on the southern side of Somló Hill, Hárslevelű, called Medox, is straw-yellow in color, its aroma is dominated by exotic fruits, pineapple, lychee, apple, and in the background white pepper, vanilla and forest mushrooms. In addition to a medium body, relatively high acidity is combined with refreshing apple, lime, pineapple, a little honey and a long minerality. A true volcanic wine.
Technology: Fermentation took place: at 16-18 °C, under spontaneous conditions, without the addition of yeast. After that, 40% of the total quantity spent 12 months in second-fill Hungarian oak barrels, of which 4 months were spent in fine lees. The remaining 60% was in the tank waiting to be reunited with its barrel brother after a year.
